Bluevalve - electrical valve actuator control system |
|
The Bluevalve control system is capable of controlling up to 6 electrical valve actuators via a standard cell phone from a distance of 40 meters line of sight. The control system consist of electrical valve actuators, Remote terminal unit (RTU) with 6 relay outputs and a bluetooth interface module.
The Bluevalve electrical valve actuator remote control system consist of:
- Electrical valve actuator/s (Up to 6 in this scenario) - Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) with a bluetooth interface module. - The Bluevalve cell phone remote control software
Technical Specifications:
- AC/DC Electrical valves from 12 - 250V are supported - 6 Relay Outputs 250V, 10A - Bluetooth Class I embedded module in the RTU - 40 meters line of sight operating range - Supports any cell phone with bluetooth and J2ME. - User friendly cell phone user interface
The user/operator of this control system is capable of controlling the electrical valve actuators, using a cell phone and a user friendly graphical user interface (GUI).The remote control system uses a Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) (see the picture below) which is the interface between the electrical valve actuators and the cell phone application. The commands are send from a cell phone via Bluetooth link, the Bluetooth adapter embedded in the RTU transfers the messages to the RTU microcontroller and the microcontroller decides which electrical valve to activate/deactivate in accordance with the received message.

microBridge - Serial (TTL & RS-232) to WIFI / Ethernet device server |
|
This is a Serial to Wifi and or Ethernet Adapter module with the possibility to connect up to 4 RS-232 Devices. The device is used for a POS terminals, Industrial Remote control and Remote management applications remote Bar code scanners, Automation projects.
It works like the so called "Serial Device Servers". There are two possible operating modes of this device - point to point (two devices connected together via Ethernet cable or Wifi) assuring a transparent RS-232 transfer, which means that the data send from device 1 serial port/s is transfered byte by byte to the device 2 serial port/s. The second operating mode is using one device and a PC connected to it via Ethernet Cable or Wifi link.In this case a virtual serial port emulation software shall be installed in the PC and this virtual serial port will be connected to the device (physical) serial port. Then you can connect to COM3(virtual port) with your serial application and all the data sent / received from COM3 will be transferred byte by byte to the device physical serial port.
Interfaces:
- WIFI interface
- 5 Ethernet interfaces
- Up to 4 RS-232 lines with the use of external usb HUB (By default the module comes with 1 USB - RS-232 converter.
- 1 Uart interface (3.3V logic for communication with a microcontroller or a terminal)

How to connect a cell phone to a microcontroller |
|
Our team at http://www.microcontroller-bg.com has developed a cell phone bluetooth terminal application called BTTerm. The application runs on cell phones with JAVA (ME), and it can be used to issue commands to your ARDUINO Bluetooth or any developement board, connected to a microcontroller board. Practically it is a Terminal program (like HyperTerminal) but it runs on Cell phones.
BTTerm Features:
- Java J2ME application works on almost any mobile phone with Java.
- User input by a textbox or directly in the Terminal by using the phone keyboard.
- Tested with Bluesmirf and BTM-222 Bluetooth modules.

GSM Relay Control
Welcome to our microcontroller projects website and online shop. Here you will find a projects based on the Atmel AVR microcontroller. Recently we have developed a GSM remote relay control project with wich you can benefit from the GSM technology and you will be able to remotely control a 6 relays. The idea is for a user to be able to control the relays board (see picture below) by using GSM mobile phone or with a PC trough Internet. The Software for this project is FREE and is available for download upon request after registration. The GSM relay control board consist of a ATMEL AVR microcontroller (ATMEGA8), 6 relays 220V, 15 A and a Class 1 serial bluetooth module. The physical communications link between the microcontroller and the serial bluetooth module is RS-232 .The GSM relay control board has also a power supply block with a standard 12V DC jack. Next to every relay there is a LED indicator which shows weather the relay is switched on or switched off. If the led is on then it means that the relay is on. There is also a standard 10 PIN programming Jack needed for uploading the firmware to the AVR Microcontroller. We have developed two types of software for controlling this board.
